Plastic Surgery Consultation Fee Policy
At Gregory S. Dibelius, MD PLLC we are committed to providing exceptional care and personalized consultations to our patients in New York City. To ensure the highest quality of service and provide a superior customer experience we have established the following consultation fee policy, and cancellation and no-show policy.
Consultation Fee
A consultation fee of $250 is required for all initial consultations with our surgeon. This fee is payable at the time of booking the consultation appointment and is non-refundable.
Recent Surgery Fee
If you are seeking a consultation for surgery performed within 9 months of your consultation date, there is an additional non-refundable fee of $150. It is recommended that you discuss your concerns with healing or possible future revisions with your original surgeon.
Kenalog Injection Fee
If you are requesting a postoperative Kenalog injection following surgery performed at a different practice, you will incur a standard Consultation Fee of $250 in addition to a Kenalog Injection Fee of $100. If your request falls within 9 months of your surgery, an additional Recent Surgery Fee of $150, as previously outlined, will be applicable. Subsequent Kenalog injections performed will be subject to the Kenalog Injection Fee of $100 only.
In cases where a consultation is conducted but Kenalog is not administered, a refund will only be issued for the Kenalog Injection Fee of $100.
Virtual Consultation
The fee structure for virtual consultations is the same as for in-person consultations. However, all virtual consultations require a subsequent in-person consultation if surgery is being performed. There is no additional cost for the subsequent in-person consultation.
Consultation Appointment Rescheduling and Cancellation
If you need to reschedule or cancel your consultation appointment, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice out of respect to other patients who will be offered your appointment slot. There is no fee to reschedule your appointment. Please note that the consultation fee is non-refundable in the event of cancellation. See Refund Policy below.
Application of Consultation Fee to Surgical Procedures
The consultation fee will be applied as a credit toward the cost of any future surgical procedure or treatment scheduled within 90 days of the initial consultation. It is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
Refund Policy
All consultation fees are non-refundable. If you believe there are extenuating circumstances surrounding your cancellation, please contact us at nisa@rhinoplastymanhattan.com or by calling (212)518-1036. Individual refunds for canceled appointments will be at the sole discretion of the practice.
Under no circumstances will refunds be provided in the event that a consultation is conducted, and you opt not to move forward with surgery or other procedures.
Insurance Coverage
Consultation fees are typically not covered by insurance plans, as they are considered an out-of-pocket expense.
Payment Options
Payment is due at the time of booking your consultation appointment. You are required to pay electronically with a debit or credit card.
Minors
If the patient is a minor (under 18 years of age), a parent or legal guardian must accompany them to the consultation appointment and assume financial responsibility for the consultation fee.
Policy Changes
Gregory S. Dibelius, MD PLLC reserves the right to amend this consultation fee policy at any time. Any changes will be communicated to patients in advance.

Cancellation and No-Show Policy
Cancellation or Rescheduling of Appointments
Patients are encouraged to provide a minimum of 48 hours notice for any appointment cancellation or rescheduling. This allows us to offer the appointment slot to other patients who are also interested in consultation.

Please note that the consultation fee is non-refundable. There is no fee to reschedule your consultation.
No-Show Policy
A “no-show” occurs when a patient misses an appointment without providing prior notice.
Patients who “no-show” for appointments will forfeit their consultation fee as outlined in our consultation fee policy. Furthermore, such patients may be subject to restrictions on rescheduling their consultation at the discretion of the practice.
Exceptions:
Exceptions to the cancellation and no-show policy may be made in cases of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances. Please contact our office as soon as possible in such situations.
Policy Enforcement
Gregory S. Dibelius, MD PLLC reserves the right to enforce this policy consistently and fairly. Repeat offenders may be subject to additional restrictions on appointment scheduling.
Reminders
We strive to send appointment reminders via phone, email, or text message to help patients remember their scheduled appointments. However, it remains the patient’s responsibility to manage their appointments.
