A revision rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that can help correct issues that persist after a previous rhinoplasty. While most patients are satisfied with the results of their initial rhinoplasty, some may experience complications or be unhappy with the outcome. If you’re experiencing dissatisfaction or functional issues with your previous rhinoplasty, revision may be a solution.

Common Reasons for Revision Procedures

There are several reasons why someone might consider revising their previous rhinoplasty procedure. These may include:

  • Breathing difficulties
  • Cosmetic imperfections such as tip asymmetry or other undesirable irregularities
  • Over-resection or under-resection of nasal structures
  • Over or under correction of the nasal tip
  • Unresolved scarring or excess tissue

Before and After Revision Rhinoplasty

Revision before and after results can be dramatic. The procedure can correct issues that were not addressed in the initial surgery or improve the results of a previous rhinoplasty. It’s important to note that any type of revision is a complex procedure that requires a skilled and experienced surgeon to achieve optimal results.
