Nasal valve / Tip repair revision rhinoplasty
This patient in her 50s with damaged nasal valves and tip deformity presented for repair with rib cartilage graft.
PAtient:
Female in her 50’s
Concern:
Nasal valve obstruction, tip deformity, loss of tip lobule projection and volume.
GOAL:
To restore the nasal tip and its function, and to rebuild the nasal valves to allow for restored breathing. Also to replace lost tip volume as noted on profile and create a more natural overall appearance to the nose.
Procedure:
Tertiary (revision) rhinoplasty was performed using autologous rib cartilage to rebuild the nasal tip and nasal valves. Advanced techniques were utilized to help create a more natural appearance.
OUTCOME:
At 1 month postop, the patient has a more natural appearance, improved breathing, and only mild swelling.
