Concern:
Wide, bulbous nasal tip with thick skin, raising concerns about balance and natural definition.
GOAL:
To refine the nasal tip for improved harmony and balance without causing unnatural narrowing or breathing issues.
Procedure:
Primary rhinoplasty was performed using structural techniques instead of reductive methods, preserving nasal valve function while achieving a more defined tip.
OUTCOME:
At 6 months postop, the patient shows a narrower, naturally balanced nasal tip that complements her overall facial features.
This woman in her 30’s presented for primary rhinoplasty for a wide, somewhat bulbous nasal tip, in the setting of thick nasal skin. Instead of performing a reductive procedure to narrow the nose, structural techniques were performed to prevent unnatural narrowing or nasal valve problems.
