Revision Rhinoplasty After Prior Surgeries

This patient in her 40s came to us after multiple prior surgeries and filler treatments left her nose wide and impaired.

PAtient:

Female in her 40’s

Concern:

Wide, amorphous nasal shape from prior surgeries, functional breathing issues, and filler-related ischemic changes at the tip.

GOAL:

To restore a natural nasal appearance while improving breathing function and protecting compromised tissue.

 

Procedure:

A revision rhinoplasty was performed using rib cartilage grafting to rebuild structure and support. Extra care was taken to preserve blood supply in areas damaged by prior filler injections.

OUTCOME:

Postoperative images at 2 months show a more natural, defined nasal shape with improved breathing function.

This woman in her 40’s presented for revision of multiple prior surgeries which had resulted in a wide, amorphous appearance to the nose and functional breathing issues.  She had also received filler injections to the tip that had led to ischemic changes.  We performed a revision rhinoplasty with rib cartilage to restore a more natural appearance with improved breathing.  Extra care was taken to preserve the blood supply to the area damaged by filler.
